Cast your vote now in our Halloween poll to help determine the winner of this epic confrontation…. I dunno. Most people say that Scream does so much better, but I think that New Nightmare is pretty damn close to its successor. H20 has been compared to Scream many times, although I feel like the comparisons make you expect a far more referential film than what we got (it very much lacks the meta elements which basically defined the Scream franchise… although it does have some unexpected meta elements like Janet Leigh acting as Laurie Strode’s maternal proxy). When it comes down to it all, the film is basically just standard, predictable slasher movie sequel fare. OR.... are you the winner -- clever, self-preserving yet not completely self-absorbed, cute enough for a camera to follow for the full 90 minutes. I might stop after the first few years, though, and just go look at some naked people. He languished underwater, tied to an anchor, for a decade or so, while Michael kept going.
Freddy taunts Jason about his apearance...), Jason would beat all of them. Jason is his physical superior, but it's so overwhelmingly obvious that I don't Michael would even try a direct confrontation- he'd manipulate the environment to have a good shot and at least incapicitate Jason. However, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is so unsettling that I can’t help but feel something while watching it. Sure there were the Rob Zombie remakes that attempted to re-cast Mike Myers as a long-bullied, sympathetic character, but if they're all basically invincible, what's stopping a brand new super-collaboration? Michael Myers Vs Jason Voorhees: Who Would Win In A Fight? The characters are actually pretty smart and well-written, which makes the fact that Freddy is able to still isolate and pick them off even scarier, which also shows off just how much power he has in the dream realm. I get that they probably don’t want the Dream Warriors to be able to fight back too easily, but it feels like a pretty artificial limitation.

You're smart, but who are you? The movie was heavily teased with the ending of 1993's Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday, but the project would go through countless scripts and directors before the movie finally arrived. If somebody wants to get on that, I want a producer's credit. However, Michael has definitely shown superior strategy to Jason, able to lure victims, seperate groups, and even blend in with crowds, suggesting a far superior mind.
--Unsigned Comment, I got to give to jason he did fight freddy and leatherface before and ended up surviving plus he would slice michael meyers into dog foo, I won't say a whole lot, but I voted Michael.
It does so by introducing a new heroine, Kris, a girl who has the power to pull other people into her dreams.
Even the obligatory opening recap is a lean three minutes and manages to cover all of the events of the previous films quite well! Perhaps what makes Halloween 2018 stand out so much though is that it is easily one of the best directed and edited films on this entire countdown.
And quite often they look different. But to pull that off, you either need to have telekinesis or be Tommy-Jarvis-crazy. Heather Langenkamp’s Nancy Thompson is also one of the best final girls ever, very capable and clever, although Heather’s acting is a bit wonky throughout the film. The winner is Jason Voorhees. In particular, the victims in this film are almost always more than just pure cannon fodder. John Carpenter himself said this was not his intention (citation needed). Freddy Vs Jason did something similar with its ending too, suggesting both characters technically won the titular fight. https://horror.fandom.com/wiki/Poll:Freddy_vs_Jason_vs_Michael_vs_Leatherface?oldid=88017. Michael would kill all of the others because there is nothing to stop him from doing it. 13th, amc, andromedastrain, anightmareonelmstreet, fearfest, freddykrueger, fridaythethirteenth, halloween, jasonlives, jasonvoorhees, jasonx, johncarpenter, kanehodder, landofthedead, michaelmyers, newblood, robertenglund, robzombie, thefinalchapter, zombieland, Okay first of all Michael does show the emotional crap but he doesn't have any weaknesses if u really think about it being in the emotional state is really just his flaw but yet he has no weaknesses like Jason which is water and he gets really distracted by the camper's like if he goes to kill someone and See's a couple he'll go for them as if it's like a snack before his dinner which is his last victim on the other hand Michael just passes people on on Halloween night just to get to one specific person so i think no one is wins it would result in a tie and yes he does kill other people but that's people on his property or trying to get to someone in order to lure his victim then again I say it's a tie. Writer. This is funny, because I also think his movies are the creepiest. But anyways, I voted for Freddy. A great question, straight out of Scream. I mean.. if it's aliens, we could all still at least band together and shoot a few. It also establishes Freddy Krueger as an iconic, sadistic and truly evil villain for the ages. Proposed sequel Freddy Vs Jason Vs Ash also came to nothing, while Tony Todd nixed the mere suggestion of a Candyman Vs Leprechaun movie. - Jack'sGirlfriend1 (talk) 23:01, October 14, 2012 (UTC), I voted Michael, narrowly. The go-to source for comic book and superhero movie fans. After the disaster that was Freddy’s Dead, Freddy Krueger felt totally defanged, so Wes Craven came back to the franchise to bring true horror back to the character. Are you the edgy gal who makes it halfway, then valiantly dies trying to save everybody? Luckily for Laurie, Michael Myers manages to figure out where she’s living and pencils in an exposure therapy session for that Halloween evening….
This installment is a complete parody of itself. But he's just like any ordinary guy, swinging a chainsaw around. He isn't hardy or sturdy in build, but he has a speed and dexterity on his side, as well as an advantage whenever he's inside the dream world as he can influence anything in their surroundings, including his victims. The fact that this film was so influential also makes Laurie look like an idiot in retrospective, since she keeps turning her back on Michael when she thinks he’s dead.
It makes for an incredibly satisfying conclusion to the film, moreso than H20‘s ending as far as I’m concerned. If you manage to make it to the end of the movie, you're a real life Batman. The middle of the film in particular feels like it’s about one draft away from being perfect, because there’s all sorts of weird issues. The one thing about Jason Voorhees is that, whenever and wherever he pops back to life, he always wanders back home. I imagine that there are some people who are shocked that I’ve ranked Freddy’s Revenge so highly on this list, but I really enjoyed it. I'd be pretty angry if I suddenly found myself to be a ghost on Earth after being an 8-year-old drowning victim. Michael would probably have nothing on any of them. Personally, I'd really like to see Michael win because I feel he's the original and the coolest of the three. - Nobody questions "Why a hockey mask?" Regardless, it’s a much more thoughtful and interesting film than nearly any other slasher sequel and I kind of wish that more Nightmare films had followed its lead. The main issue with Halloween 2018 though is the writing, which is a bit of a mixed bag. He has been published on the independent horror blog Morbidly Beautiful, and has covered major genre film festivals such as Cinepocalypse in Chicago. In the real world and outside of dreams, Freddy isn't as strong, so Micheal would probably kill him. Other proposed battles included Helloween, a crossover pitting Michael Myers against Hellraiser's Pinhead. I voted for Jason.
I know it's starting to sound like I've developed a severe man-crush, but this guy just has the best reason to kill. To get to an answer, subtract how hot you think you are (out of 100) from how hot you actually are. Your email address will not be published. People like to cherry-pick that moment for being bonkers, but I view it as part of the gay themes, with his dad creating irrational explanations for Jesse’s changing behaviour in order to keep his own masculine view of his son intact. He is a lifelong fan of the horror genre, and loves any excuse to discuss genre-related topics, since none of his friends dare challenge him in horror trivia. It’s a bit of a strange set-up, but combined with returning heroine Nancy Thompson’s knowledge, the latest group of teens being targeted by Freddy are able to band together to try to fight back against their tormentor before he can kill them all. Michael Myers started his homicidal habit… Tweet. Read on to find out…, 10) Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998)
LOOKIT MY NEW MASK 'N SPEAR!! Freddy Krueger's stat card isn't as extensive, range-wise, but his powers are more than impressive. Who do you think would win in a rematch? His imagination and passion for unique kills is showcased in the alternate reality, plus he can shape-shift into numerous different objects or whatever he chooses in order to be menacing. What also helps to set it apart is that the dickhead teens aren’t the main characters, it’s the Jarvis family living next door. That said, this is very much Jamie Lee Curtis’ movie, as Laurie Strode is by far the most compelling character (good try though, Josh Hartnett). By Dan Bradley, October 31, 2012 at 1:13 pm "MAW! As fun as Dream Warriors is though, it is also a really messy and inconsistent film. It's admittedly a bit strange seeing The Shape throwing so many punches, which feels a little closer to the Rob Zombie version than the John Carpenter one. The film is also very slow in the middle and could have done with some tightening up in its almost 2 hour runtime. The fight was a draw.
